Basic Digital Skills Framework

We're looking for your input into what should go into the new framework for Basic Digital Skills.

The Tech Partnership, working with Lloyds Banking Group, has launched a consultation to develop a new UK framework for Basic Digital Skills. The existing Basic Digital Skills framework was launched in 2012, but we know that digital skills don't stand still, and the benchmark for participation in the digital world has moved on significantly since 2012.

We know you're supporting hundreds of people in your community to improve their basic digital skills, so your experience and knowledge is crucial to ensuring the new framework represents your learners, and will support their skills development in the future. We want to ensure ensure the Online Centres Network, and the wider community sector, is represented, so we need to hear from you!

What are we doing to support the consultation?

Here at Good Things Foundation, we want to ensure collectively we are contributing to the consultation sharing the vast experience and expertise you have of supporting people every day to develop their basic digital skills for life and work.

We are holding engagement workshops and webinars over the next six weeks and we hope you will join is to review the revised framework and make recommendations as a collective to the national consultation.

Our interactive workshop will last around 3 hours and will provide an opportunity to explore what skills and knowledge you're currently delivering to your learners and how that compares with the revised framework.
