For two weeks in the New Year, the Be Online campaign will once again encourage members of the Online Centres Network, and other local organisations to hold events helping people to make the most of the internet - and you can register for the campaign today.
Be Online 2017 takes place 27 February - 12 March and this year we’ll be doing things a little differently, saying, ‘For a new job, new skills or for your business - Be Online.'
As you can probably guess, a big part of this next campaign will be focussing on skills for work. That could mean people gaining basic skills so they can search and apply for work online, it could be developing new skills to improve their position in work, or it could be about introducing people to online resources that can help support small businesses and sole traders.
We’ll be providing a brand new suite of resources - developed with the Good Things Foundation Learning Team - than can help you expand and deepen the support you can provide to these audiences. We’ll be launching video tutorials, sessions plans, expert-delivered webinars and more in the New Year.
We’ll also help you advertise your Be Online events with a pack of marketing materials - although after listening to your feedback about Get Online Week, these packs will be trimmed back to make sure the items in there are as useful as possible.
Marketing packs will start to arrive before the end of January and many more online resources will come in the following week, so register for the campaign today and help your community to Be Online!
