Get social during Be Online

23 Feb 2017

Next week sees the start of the Be Online campaign and there’s so much you can do to get involved on social media. We would love to see you and your learners getting involved with our social media game and our campaign challenge.

Celeb CVs

Our social media game will test your celebrity knowledge as we post a new ‘celebrity CV’ on our Twitter and Facebook accounts every day of the campaign. Your task is to guess who that celebrity is based on the information included in their ‘CV’ and reply to us using the hashtag #celebCV.

There are two exciting prizes up for grabs - one individual and one organisational - so at the end of the fortnight, all correct entries will be collected and winners will be chosen at random.

The prizes are:

  • Individual: One lucky individual will win a tablet device.
  • Organisation: One lucky Online Centre will win five tablet devices that they can use to teach digital skills to learners.

CV selfies

We’re sure you’ll support many learners throughout the campaign to create their own professional CVs that they can use to apply for jobs, so our campaign challenge to you is to post pictures of your learners on social media with their completed CVs using the hashtag #CVselfie. This is a great way to celebrate your learners’ achievements and to get them involved in the campaign. You could even ask them to post the picture from their own account.

The picture can be with a printed CV or one on-screen. There’s no need to show us any personal details - we just want to see your learner’s smiling face, ready to apply for jobs.

There’s so much more available to help you support the campaign using social media and it’s all available on the Be Online website. Take a look and see what’s available.
