We’ve recently shared in our network newsletters that we’ve created a Good Things Foundation Community Partners Slack workspace for our community partners, to help you share useful information with each other. Whilst we will continue to share our updates here and across our social media channels, Slack offers an additional benefit of the opportunity to chat to one another.
As a messaging platform designed to make communication easier within organisations, teams and projects, it has lots of features such as direct messaging, private groups and themed channels you can join. You can also upload and share content, as well as react to posts with emojis and comments. You can access Slack through a browser on a computer or laptop, or through a free app on any mobile device.
The platform will be overseen by staff in the Good Things Foundation network team but it is essentially a partner led platform, so you can post and discuss relevant information that might be useful to others.
We would like the group to be a positive place to help you get the most out of the group. We've created some guidance around where to post your discussions/ queries and what types of content we would like to avoid posting in the group.
We know lots of you are doing amazing work already, helping and supporting each other, and Slack could be another fantastic way to help you collaborate.
If you would like to join the Slack workspace, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will share the details with you of how to join.
