News08 Apr 2020
As the coronavirus situation continues to develop in the UK, we know your organisation will be thinking about how best to support your staff, volunteers and learners.
We’ve been working away on collating some useful resources and other valuable information to help you and your learners find the latest support and advice online. We will be keeping this page up to date all the time - please do let us know if you come across anything you think would be of use on this webpage by sending it to hello@goodthingsfoundation.org or calling us on 0114 349 1666.
Alongside this, our online learning platform Learn My Way continues to be available, providing a safe and easy to access route for people to build up the essential digital skills they need.
You can also fill in our survey to tell us more about your current challenges. This situation is changing rapidly, and we want to be able to work together with you to provide the support you need - and to understand what you’re doing to support your communities.
DevicesDotNow- request devices
We're proud to be working with FutureDotNow on their exciting new initiative DevicesDotNow. The new initiative will target the 1.9 million households who don't have access to the internet and are digitally excluded as we face a socially distanced world gripped by COVID-19. You can read more about the project here.
UK grants database- new COVID-19 grants tab
From feedback from our Network, we launched a grants database, featuring lots of funding opportunities across the UK from various different types of organisations. We've recently added a new COVID-19 grants tab, so you can access the latest opportunities all in one place.
Webinar recording: Managing coronavirus as an Online Centre
Over 11 million people in the UK lack basic essential digital skills which means a significant proportion of the population are unable to access health advice and information online. If you couldn’t make it to our webinar, this is a recording which demonstrates how individuals can access resources online and learn how to video call their GP and their loved ones. We also hear about the challenges Online Centres are facing as an organisation to understand how we can help you further.
